Marvel’s upcoming Thor: Love And Thunder has added another genre giant to its cast in the form of Christian Bale, according to Collider.
Bale is best known among genre fans for starring as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy. His other credits include American Psycho, Little Women (1994), The Machinist, The Prestige and The Big Short.
As always, Marvel is keeping tight-lipped on who the actor will be playing. Bale’s appearance will mark the second time a Batman actor has entered into the MCU, following Michael Keaton’s take on Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Thor: Love And Thunder is being directed by the brilliant Taika Waititi (What We Do In The Shadows, Jojo Rabbit) who is returning after the success of Thor: Ragnarok. He is also writing the script.
The film will also star Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster/Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Waititi as the voice of Korg.
Thor: Love And Thunder is in cinemas from 5 November 2021. Get all the latest sci-fi news with every issue of SciFiNow.
